President of Kazakhstan investigates China-Kazakhstan Big Data Analysis Center

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of Kazakhstan, visited S.Seifullin Kazakh Agro Technical University on December 23th, 2019. The President got a comprehensive understanding about the university’s education and scientific research work and met the university teachers and students.

During the investigation of the “China-Kazakhstan Big Data Analysis Center”, Akhylbek Kurishbayev, President of S.Seifullin Kazakh Agro Technical University, reported the establishment background, working content and development planning of the “China-Kazakhstan Big Data Analysis Center”. President Tokayev pointed out, “you are engaging in an extremely important task. Robot technology, big data and AI are needs of times, especially in developed countries; so we cannot fall behind and must keep moving. I firmly believe that we can accomplish great deeds in the near future.”

“China-Kazakhstan Big Data Analysis Center”, jointly established by the Research Center for Ecology and Environment of Central Asia, Xinjiang Institute of Ecology and Geography and S.Seifullin Kazakh Agro Technical University in Kazakhstan, was unveiled on September 24th, 2019. The Center aims to jointly collect and collate historical data on relevant aspects of agriculture in Kazakhstan by taking advantage of China’s technological advantages and mature experiences in big data mining and application service. Combining the construction of agricultural ground monitoring network and based on data analysis and model development, a system of guidance, prediction and decision support at national, state and farmer levels is formed, thus promoting and serving the development of Kazakhstan’s agriculture with better quality and efficiency, and supporting the agricultural technical cooperation and trade of agricultural products between the two countries.
