On July 26^th, the Exchange Conference for Scientific and Educational Cooperation of Central Asia was held in the Research Center for Ecology and Environment of Central Asia (RCEECA). Persons in charge and representatives from Central Asia (Xinjiang) Standardization Research Center of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Research Institute of Standardization, Economic Cooperation College of Central Asia, Xinjiang University’s Confucius Institute in Jalalabad, Kyrgyzstan, Xinjiang Normal University’s Confucius Institute in Osh, Kyrgyzstan, Urumqi’s Customs, Association of Foreign Languages Translation of Xinjiang and RCEECA all attended the conference. This conference aims to strengthen mutual understanding among various agencies, share available information, promote resources sharing and joint cooperation.

At the conference, all agencies reported their work progress and results from basic information, platform building and operation, scientific and technological cooperation progress and domestic and international influence. The guests attended the conference also shared their experiences and innovative results in scientific and education cooperation fields and expressed the idea to actively build a pragmatic cooperation platform led by scientific and technological innovation in order to accelerate the core area construction of the Silk Road Economic Belt.

At this exchange conference, representatives reached consensus on conducting cooperation in Central Asia countries, expressed the willingness to actively promote the effective integration of scientific and technological resources and built long-term effective mechanism. They would also strengthen cooperation in professional areas and talents training, launch high-level scientific and technological cooperation and promote pragmatic cooperation in Central Asia and countries along the “Belt and Road” Initiative to make contribution to Xinjiang’s prosperity and development.
