On October 20^th, 2020, Liu Wenjiang, Executive Deputy Director of the Research Center for Ecology and Environment of Central Asia (hereinafter referred to as the RCEECA), was invited to pay a working visit to the Department of International Cooperation of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS). Deputy Director Ke Xiaohua extended warm welcome to the visit of RCEECA, and related divisions of the Department of International Cooperation of CAAS attended the exchange symposium.

Liu Wenjiang made a comprehensive introduction about the RCEECA in terms of targeting, organizational structure, development, operation management, cooperation research, talent training, and external publicity and so forth. Deputy Director Ke Xiaobua spoke highly of the hard work and successful exploration made by the RCEECA concerning the scientific and technological cooperation between countries in Central Asia and along the Belt and Road. After that, Liu Wenjiang answered questions about oversea center’s operation management raised by attendees, while holding discussions in terms of sharing and building of the platform, and the complementary advantages, scientific and technical cooperation as well as demonstration and extension in agriculture for both parties in the future. Furthermore, opinions concerning recent and related work were exchanged. 

On October 21st, Deputy Director Liu Wenjiang paid a working visit to Henan Agricultural University along with the team. Vice President Lin Tongbao and heads of related departments and academies attended the exchange symposium. 

Vice President Lin Tongbao extended warm welcome to the RCEECA team, and made a brief introduction about the university’s basic information, leading subjects and scientific research platform. The Development Planning Department of the university laid emphasis on reporting the work basis and development plan about Sino-Kazakhstan cooperation in the areas of agriculture, animal husbandry, and science & technology. Deputy Director Liu Wenjiang introduced the major works and development achieved as for establishment background, targeting, operation management, scientific research programs, achievement outputs, talent training, external influence and so forth since the establishment of the RCEECA. Afterwards, both parties exchanged their views on Sino-Kazakhstan and Central Asian scientific and technological cooperation in the areas of agriculture and animal husbandry, while holding discussions on specific work of Henan in promoting the scientific and educational exchanges between Central Asia countries. After the meeting, they visited and inspected the Department of Veterinary Medicine, the Department of Animal Science and Technology and the Department of Agriculture.
