RCEECA Participated in Autonomous Region Standardization Training

During September 20-21, 2022, the special video training themed "Implementing the National Standardization Development Program, Promoting the Internationalization and Cooperation and Exchange of Standards" sponsored by the Market Supervision Administration Bureau of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region and undertaken by the Autonomous Region Standardization Research Institute was successfully held online. More than 200 people from relevant departments, business leaders and business backbones across Xinjiang and members of the Central Asian Standardization Expert Database, and Ji Lili Abdul Waili, Zhao Zhenyong and Liu Wen from the Research Center for Ecology and Environment of Central Asia (hereinafter referred to as the RCEECA) participated in this training.

The training is intended to implement the "Implementation Opinions of the Autonomous Region on Implementing the Outline of National Standardization Development", jointly promote the construction of the core area of the Silk Road Economic Belt, and further expand the economic and trade exchanges of Xinjiang with Central Asia and countries along the "the Belt and the Road". The training content includes the interpretation of the Outline of National Standardization Development, the specific requirements for strengthening international standardization talent training and team building, basic knowledge of standardization and international standardization, international standard formulation procedures and ways to participate in international standard formulation, and analysis of typical cases of standardization supporting industrial development and serving enterprises "going global".

Senior experts who have been engaged in standardization and international standardization for a long time both inside and outside the region and have rich theoretical and practical experience have been invited to give lectures on the five reports, namely, the Outline of National Standardization Development, "Basic Knowledge of International Standardization", "Analysis of International Standardization Work Instances", "Analysis of Export Enterprises' Response To Technical Trade Measures", "Improving Enterprise Competitiveness by Technology Research and Development, Intellectual Property Rights and Standardization Integration and Innovation", and "Potential of Economic and Trade Cooperation between China's Xinjiang and Central Asian Countries under the Background of "the Belt and the Road" Initiative".

Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Central Asia Standardization Expert Database was established in October, 2020, aiming at giving full play to the role of experts in various fields, enriching the team of international standardization professionals, and comprehensively improving the ability and level of Central Asia standardization work of the autonomous region. The first batch of 74 experts were selected as Central Asia standardization experts of the autonomous region, including the researchers of RCEECA, Ji Lili Abdul Waili, Zhao Zhenyong, Liu Wenjiang and Hao Yun.
