On May 6, the CAS Research Center for Ecology and Environment of Central Asia (hereinafter referred to as RCEECA) held a performance evaluation mobilization and deployment meeting in accordance with the requirements of the Notice on Carrying out 2018-2021 Performance Evaluation of Academy-level Overseas Science and Education Cooperation Centers issued by the Bureau of International Cooperation of Chinese Academy of Sciences. Director Zhang Yuanming of CAS Xinjiang Institute of Ecology and Geography and related functional department heads, Director Chen Xi of RCEECA and all staff of RCEECA attended the meeting, and the meeting was presided over by Director Chen Xi.

First, Liu Wenjiang (Executive Deputy Director of RCEECA) led to learn the deployment notice, work arrangement and specific requirements of the performance evaluation of the academy-level overseas science and education cooperation centers, and highlighted the contents of the self-evaluation report and the list of supporting materials.

Director Chen Xi made specific deployment on the self-evaluation work, requiring to clarify the duties and to detail the division of work, ensuring the smooth and orderly progress of the performance self-evaluation work, and completing the submission of materials on time and with high quality. Director Zhang Yuanming addressed that, CAS Xinjiang Institute of Ecology and Geography as a supporting institution of RCEECA, had the responsibility and obligation to assist RCEECA to properly carry out this performance evaluation, and the functional departments should attach great importance to this work, namely, they must implement the personnel and tasks in strict accordance with the notice requirements and the work deployment to accurately and comprehensively provide the related data and information required for evaluation, and they must ensure the high-quality completion of self-assessment reports and supporting materials, achieving satisfactory evaluation results.

The attendees also had in-depth discussions and exchanges around the statistical data and supporting materials in performance evaluation.
