RCEECA is invited to attend the 2022 International Meeting on Industry-University-Research-Application Cooperation
On December 7, the International Industry-University-Research-Application Seminar on Biotechnology and Green Agriculture, a sub-meeting of the 2022 International Meeting on Industry-University-Research-Application Cooperation hosted by National Center for Schooling Development Programme and undertaken by Education Bureau of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps and Tarim University, was held both online and offline. Nearly 200 experts and scholars from China, the United States, Kazakhstan, Pakistan and other countries attended the meeting. Zhang Lili, Vice President of Tarim University attended the meeting and delivered a welcoming speech.
Researcher Liu Wenjiang, Executive Deputy Director of Research Center for Ecology and Environment of Central Asia (RCEECA), was invited to deliver a report on Science and Education Cooperation in Ecology and Environment of Central Asia. He systematically introduced the work progress and achievements of RCEECA since its establishment in the three aspects: cooperation platform, scientific research progress and talent cultivation.
Focusing on the needs of agricultural production and development of the Belt and Road Initiative participants, the attendees communicated and interacted with each other in the form of invited talks and roundtable discussions, aiming to promote the industry-university-research-application innovative development of biotechnology and green agriculture and provide ideas for realizing the concept of synergistically enhancing agricultural sustainable development and improving the quality, efficiency and competitiveness of agricultural development.
It is reported that since 2018, the Ministry of Education, together with relevant state departments of education administration, colleges and universities, enterprises and research institutes, has held the international meeting on industry-university-research-application cooperation for three consecutive years, with more than 10,000 high-level experts from over 60 countries attending the meeting.
