The Sino-Tajik UAV hangar renovation project has successfully passed inspection
On May 15, 2023, the financial inspection team, consisting of Zhang Xiangjun, secretary of the Party committee and Deputy Director of the Xinjiang Institute of Ecology and Geography CAS, Qu Yan, Finance Director, Wei Liheng, a staff Level IV of the Finance Department, Liu Peigao, Deputy Director of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Office, Mu Shuyong, Director of the Central Laboratory, and Director of financial Assets Department Xinjiang Branch, Chinese Academy of Sciences, conducted an on-site inspection and acceptance of the renovation project for the unmanned aerial vehicle hangar at the Dushanbe Sub-center of the RCEECA. Saidov Abudusattor, the Director of the Dushanbe Sub-Center, Abdulaev A., the head of the construction company, and representatives from the design team attended the acceptance meeting.
The Dushanbe Sub-center reported to the acceptance team the construction progress of the 600-square-meter unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) hangar and its related supporting facilities project. The acceptance team conducted a field inspection of the construction site, carefully reviewed the project archives, examined the engineering financial vouchers, and raised questions. After a thorough discussion, the acceptance team unanimously agreed that the project was executed well overall and the engineering quality complied with the national design and construction standards of Tajikistan, meeting the requirements for Chinese use. They agreed to approve the acceptance.
In response to Tajikistan's significant demand for cooperation in the field of UAV remote sensing technology, the RCEECA has taken active steps. In July 2021, in order to promote the development and application of UAV technology in relevant fields in Tajikistan and to facilitate the growth of the “Sino-Tajik UAV Application Research Center”. Both parties reached a consensus to renovate a drone hangar in Dushanbe to showcase, maintain, and develop various models of drones. It will also serve as the daily office and data processing center for the Sino-Tajik Drone Application Research Center, establishing it as a Sino-Tajik UAV base for drone experiments, technical training, research, and public education. Currently, unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) technicians from China have conducted multiple technical trainings for their counterparts in China and Tajikistan. These trainings have helped to cultivate a professional research team specializing in low-altitude remote sensing applications, equipped with abilities such as data acquisition, processing, and analysis. This team will provide spatial foundational information and technical support for the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and the construction of the Silk Road Economic Belt.
